Spectacles of Disruption
"I paint bodies in flux. Figures merge and blur
within painterly surfaces, forming polymorphic shapes in states of
continual transformation; never fixed, never complete.
My practice examines how mythological thinking persists within
contemporary technological culture.If ancient myths functioned as
frameworks for understanding invisible forces, today’s algorithmic
systems function in a similar way, shaping visibility, identity,
belonging, and exclusion. Digital technologies no longer function as
neutral tools. Instead, algorithmic systems operate as contemporary
myth-making structures, reflecting and amplifying cultural anxieties,
biases, and relations of power."
